SHOWUNMI SUES FOR PEACE, UNITY, PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP AS CHRISTIANS OBSERVE EASTER CELEBRATION


 The Peoples Democratic Party House of Representative Candidate in Abeokuta South Local Government in the last election and the Spokesperson to the Presidential Candidate of the Party,Hon Segun Showunmi has said that the lessons of Easter is profound for all season as the underlining idea is that of leadership sacrifice towards the greater good of all, in which the Lord Jesus understood and he encouraged his disciples to show others this worthy example.

Segun in a release from his office said that the death of Jesus Christ is a sober period and it is indeed necessary for nigerians to call on God to help put an end to the massacre going on in the northern parts of the country.

The Spokesperson who was terribly sad could not hide his displeasure about the way the Federal Government is handling the killings of Nigerians by Herdsmen and Boko haram in the Northern parts of the country.

"I think we have gotten to a critical phase as a nation, and what we have left is to call on our Maker to intervene so as quickly and divinely capture the incoming tribal war" Showunmi said.

"I hereby call on christians all over the world to imbibe the spirit of christ which is tolerance,persevearance and let humility and service to humanity be our topmost priority".

In Conclusion, he advised the Federal government not to be weary in protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians as it is the utmost responsibility of the government.

The good people of Ogun state yesterday eulogised the former Governor of Ogun state, H.E Otunba Gbenga Daniel for his contributions to human development, education amd health sectors. This revelation was made known during the opinion survey in the state. Ogun is losing it. Period!!! Lagos, Oyo and Ogun States are the only ones of the 6 states of the southwest completing the first term in a few days.  Lagos is commissioning projects to round off!
